Braille Simulator Software

EECS 2311                               Jan 2017 — April 2017

The purpose of the project was to develop a software that will function accordingly with a hardware device to teach young, vision-impaired adolescents how to read Braille. The hardware device will use the 8-pin Braille cell system, and will have Braille cells and physical buttons.

The project was broken down into 3 phases:

1.  Simulator – Create a simulation of how the Braille hardware device would function.

2. Player part – Create scenarios to be played by the simulator, in order to provide a more interactive experience for the kids using it.

ENG 2001 Final Report

This is the final report for our ENG 2001 project, which showcased a design for a forest fire prevention system.

The main goal of the design was to create a way to detect small forest fires in order to prevent them from spreading, and was meant to tackle the rise of forest fires that occur every year in Canada.
